Emily Dake | Executive Director
One of Indigo Hippo’s co-founders, Emily has worked with the organization since the beginning. She holds a BFA from the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP school of art and her personal creative work focuses in ceramics and mixed media sculpture. She has a passion for creative reuse and community collaborations, and one of her favorite ways of participating in Indigo Hippo’s mission is by connecting folks to unexpected materials that bring their creativity to life. Outside of Indigo Hippo, Emily enjoys teaching ceramics, adventuring in nature, and supporting Cincinnati’s incredible local businesses.
Abby Kacen | Board President
Abby most recently served as Indigo Hippo’s Storefront Manager for almost 1.5 years and is now continuing to make an impact on Indigo Hippo’s board. She received her MA in Nonprofit Management & BFA in Interdisciplinary Arts at the University of Georgia and has worked in the nonprofit sector for six years. Abby is a cartoonist, zinester, punk, and DIY organizer who is passionate about equality and accessibility when it comes to the arts and mental health. Her time is split between Georgia and Ohio now, and she loves traveling to new cities, seeing live music, and exchanging pictures of cats with Emily.
Cheryl Kreindler | Treasurer
Cheryl Kreindler is a senior vice president and strategic environmental consultant at WSP USA Inc. with more than 30-years experience. She works with clients to create performance-based programs and optimize business processes using systematic approaches. Serving the arts community is important to her. When she moved back to the Cincinnati area, after 30 years in Detroit, she began to look for ways to combine her work experiences with her love of the arts. The ArtsWave Boardway Bound program offered Cheryl an avenue to easily get involved through board service. When not working, Cheryl spends her time hiking, reading and cooking.
Matt Wollman | Board Member, Fundraising Committee Chair
Matt Wollman is a healthcare consultant with over 15 years of experience in mental and behavioral health, care innovation, experience strategy, and human-centered design. Driven to create better and more meaningful healthcare experiences, his career is deeply rooted in a passion for driving meaningful change through solutions that put people first. Matt is a Cincinnati native and currently makes his home in its historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. He is happiest when in nature, indulging in Cincinnati’s extraordinary food scene, or cheering in the stands of Paycor Stadium each fall (WHO-DEY!).
Morgan Mazone | Board Member
Morgan works at Procter & Gamble in Finance and Accounting, having held various roles across Corporate, Brand and Product Supply Finance. Morgan has nearly 10 years of experience where she has built a reputation for operational excellence, forecasting accuracy, and a deep commitment to organization morale and culture.
Morgan serves as the Co-Chair of Procter & Gamble’s annual ArtsWave Campaign, raising over $2 million to support Cincinnati arts organizations. Previously holding leadership roles in various organizations including Women’s Networks, New Hire/Intern Programs, as well as several workplace culture teams.
Bridget Jancarz | Board Member
Bridget Jancarz is the Vice President, Network Impact at StriveTogether, a national movement working to support better and more equitable outcomes for kids and families across the country. With over a decade of experience in place-based collective impact, she leads StriveTogether’s strategy to support Cradle to Career Network members to accelerate their progress through the Theory of Action™ toward better and more equitable outcomes for young people. This includes proactive and responsive network supports, impact investment and a comprehensive network member experience. Cincinnati is Bridget’s adopted home and loves the creativity and culture of the Queen City. She spends her time supporting community-building efforts across the city and you can usually find her at home Bengals or FC Cincinnati games.
Maya Middlebrook | Board Member
Maya Middlebrook is the Community Engagement Strategist for Turner Construction, leading the company’s community investment and youth engagement efforts. A Cincinnati native, she earned her degree from The Ohio State University before returning home to make an impact. With over a decade of experience in community engagement, Maya is passionate about creating opportunities, fostering connections, and building safe spaces for local youth to express themselves while exploring new career pathways. She recently graduated from the ArtsWave Boardway Bound program and is eager to incorporate the arts into her community work to enhance the lives of others. As the oldest of six active siblings, she spends much of her time cheering them on at games. She’s also a proud dog mom to her sweet boy, Simba, who keeps her on her toes. Maya is dedicated to building a stronger and more inclusive community.
