  • Material Play is A FREE, once-a-month workshop series for youth ages 10-18 (recommended, no restriction for children under 10 but request a parent or guardian present to participate).

  • Learn new creative skills and mediums from local artists and organizations while exploring themes of personal growth, resilience and community.

  • All upcycled materials will be provided by Indigo Hippo!

“Posterize your life" and turn your ideas into bright bold posters by using paper mask silkscreen and drawing techniques with Jon Flannery and Joe Walsh of TAKE A MOMENT STUDIO.

Explore with PEASLEE NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER on how to be a good neighbor and find your place in your community through upcycled mixed media collage, where you'll get to add your voice to a piece of a larger work of art started by artist CIERRA FOGLE and take your pick from an "art bar" of materials provided by Indigo Hippo.

“Wearable Art: Think Outside the Box” with DA’MON BUTLER and VISIONARIES + VOICES

You’ll get to explore all sorts of traditional and non-traditional materials and imagine how you can create a wearable work of art which might look like jewelry or other wearables, while learning about how to advocate for yourself and exploring the differences that make us all beautiful.

Join JULIA LIPOVSKY and JULIA O BIANCO of THE WELL for “Possibility Portraits: Looking in and looking out!” You’ll get to participate in a guided meditation led by Julia B and learn from Julia L about how you might create your own self portrait. Materials will be mostly paper and collage based.
